Is this a test or mid-range gammer?
Windows98 , Windows NT 4.0 Advanced Server, Windows 2000, Windows Xp and, Linux 7.2
8 gig             , 1 gig                                               , 2 gig                 , 3 gig                   , 5 gig

Don't like to wait will playing.

I have installed in several different directions. I even found that Linux can be first, before even 98. Once you can boot to the floppy and stop depending on the MBR for Linux then ya have it all in hand. I have noticed that you have to install 98 then NT to get them to work with 2k and XP. Haven't tried every combo out yet. I do have somewhat of a life aside from the keyboard.

Just did an install this weekend. I started with a drive with win98 on it. I rezied the partition with
Partion Magic 6.0 Great product. I use 7.0 at work it has some great improvments.
I took a 20 gig drive and moved it to 4 gig. After everything done with 98. I installed XP on the next 10 gig of the
drive. All is well and I have 5 left, so I threw Red Hat Linux 7.2 on the rest.

Even though I've done this several times know, even I can flub it now and again, I will now pause for those
who know me and have to roll around laughing and probably thinking" yeah he flobs it now and comes back to flob it more".

Anyway, I followed my steps but thought I would be swift and skip 5 or 6 steps. I thought," I have a fat32 partion,
that I mounted during the install!" So I thought I would just put it on there ya know no floppy just direct to c:
So I didn't even make the boot floppy, ya I know. Low and behold I get an error 1. I look and there is no file c:\bootsect.lnx on my c: drive or anywhere.

I know some of you know better, but I had just installed Linux on there and had nothing on it, so I popped
in the cd and just did an upgrade. I was back quick and made the disk this time.So after I get the disk I can now do the proper steps as well as try the cp to the 98 partition again.

Did again and it worked this time, musta flubed it somewhere and didn't notice. So I didn't use the floppy
but it was a nice 'net' to have.
