Someone e-mail me once about this error but I did not save the e-mail to put here for us to learn from. But I do remember the e-mail and just ran across the error once again and it hit me to put it here.
You have followed my steps to the T and it doesn't work!!!
I can boot into XP/NT/2K just fine.
When I select "Linux", or whatever you named it (once I named it "good luck"),
it goes to a blank black screen with the cursor blinking at the left top of
the screen
When I was 'dualbooting' XP and Red Hat 7.2 on one of my systems this weekend, I got the same blinking
cursor from above. Repeated the process and everything worked fine.
